如何掌控自己的情绪?
当事情出现问题时
So when things go wrong
有一个规则:
we have a rule
情绪消极是很正常的
It's okay to be negative
但别超过五分钟
but not for more than five minutes
你有五分钟的时间发牢骚、抱怨、哭泣、抱怨
You get five minutes to bitch,moan,complain,cry
甚至是打墙之类的
vent punch a wall,whatever
五分钟后
and after five minutes
深呼吸一口气
you take a deep breath
说出最有力的话
and say three really powerful words
"改变不了什么"
"Can't change it"
这句话只是要让我知道
And it's simply an acknowledgment
我不能改变已经发生过的事情
that l can't change what's already happened
所以希望事情变得不同是没有意义的
so there's no value in wishing it were different
当我问:"有多少人认为"
"How many of you think this"
"这是一个非常有力的想法"
"is really a powerful idea"
"但是实际行动起来却很困难的做法?"
"but it's easier said than done?
每个人都会举起手说
and everybody's hand goes up like
这太疯狂了
"yeah this is crazy right"
道理我都明白
yeah l get it
但就是做不到
but I don't how l can't do that
这是因为
and it's because
我们已经为自己预设好
we've programmed ourselves
每当生活中遇到逆境时
over our entire lives
我们都得用消极的方式面对它
the way we respond to adversity is the way we respond to adversity right
我们完全可以掌握自己的情绪
We are completely in control of our emotional state
而且如果你想让自己的情绪
and the key that unlocks the door
不受任何事情的影响
to emotional invincibility
唯一的方法就是坦然接受它
If you will is acceptance
