我13岁的时候

When I was thirteen

我就开始写自己的歌

started writing my own songs

我从创作中获得了深深的满足感

I discovered a deep satisfaction of creating something new

但我首先会沉浸于前辈们的传统音乐之中

But first I had to immerse myself in musical traditions that came before me

为了能有新的突破

To break through to something new

你必须消化吸收现有的东西

You have to absorb what is already known

我的绝大多数歌都是中文的

Most of my songs are in Chinese

终有一天 我们的声音会让世界瞩目

One day, the world will recognize our voice

(华语歌)或许还没破土而出

It might still be under the ground

但我们的根扎得越来越深

But the roots are again deeper

终有一天会看到花开

So one day you'll see the flower
