警惕学校成为分化的工具!

在教育中有越来越多的断层线

The fault lines are increasingly along educational lines

受过教育的人是这样想的

So people with the degree think one thing

没受过教育的人是那样想的

and people without think another

所以在他们之间会产生非常多的冲突

And then there's quite a lot of hostility between the two groups

我们都说教育是普世的权力

We say that education is in universal right

每个人都有受教育的权力

and everyone should have it

但事实并非如此

but in practice it isn't really

一部分人拥有很多受教育的机会

And certain people get access to a lot

而另一部分人就没那么多了

and other people don't get access to very much

我认为教育只是一个自我发现的过程

I think education is really just a process of self-discovery of developing a sense of yourself

一个以你自己的方式形成认知的过程

the way you think

但是我们越是自我区分

But the more that we self-segregate

学校又成了人以群分的地方

and schools become reflections of people's homogeneity

所以我认为学校也成了制造分歧的工具

Then I think schools themselves become instruments of division

我觉得教育是一种了不起的机制

I think of education as a great mechanism

它使人们彼此连接和互相平等

of connecting and equalizing

但当它自身成了一种分化的工具

and it can be a little bit frightening

还是有点让人害怕的

when it becomes an instrument of that division
