我们看到大学学费的那一刻

After we saw the price of the school

一年4000元

4000RMB a year

我们全家都沉默了

Our whole family went silent

因为我父亲每月只挣300元

Cause my father only earned 300 a month

我和我家庭都没办法

There’s no way for me ,for us, for my family

我说：没事，我反正考上了

I said: OK, doesn’t matter. I did it.

我只要能考上，我就知足了

I was so satisfied with myself cause I did ti.

我已经证明了自己，我可以

I already proved myself- I am OK

我考上了

I did it

我对父亲说：我不去上大学

And I just told my father: I won’t go to the academy

我记得当时父亲正在厨房刷锅洗碗

I remember my father was just in the kitchen scrubbing the pot and bowls

他直接把锅和刷子放到一边

He just throwed the pot and the brush

父亲说：豁出去了！别人家的孩子还考不上呢

He said: Damn it! Others’ kid can’t even get into the college

我的孩子考上了， 我砸锅卖铁也要供我的孩子去上学

While my one does. I will sell all things I have to make sure my kid can go to school

我入学后第一个月

Within the first month I got into school

我得到了为上海地铁拍摄宣传片的机会

I got a chance to shoot a commercial which was Shanghai subway

我一天就挣了800元

I earned 800 RMB a day

从那时起，我再也没有向家里要过一分钱

After that, I never asked for any money from my home, my family

我当时给自己写了一句座右铭

I wrote a motto for myself

你的能力或许是有限的

You might be limited in your ability

但你的坚忍力 是无限的

But you are unlimited in your persistence
