Nothing is worth it if it doesn’t make you happy.

如果一件事情不能让你快乐，那这件事就不值得去做。

If it doesn’t A) Make you happy or B) Make you better

如果它既不能让你快乐，又不能让你变得更好

那就不要在它上面浪费时间

Don’t make time for it.

那就不要在它上面浪费时间。

Now, before any of you jump on this, let me clarify.

在大家斥责我的观点之前，我要进一步澄清一下。

Nothing is worth it, if it doesn’t make you happy-that means if it doesn’t make you happy Now,

如果一件事情不能让你快乐，那这件事就不值得去做，这句话的意思是：

While you’re doing it, or it isn’t going to make you happy as a result of doing it,

如果你在做这件事情的时候无法得到即时的快乐，或者等你完成后，仍然不会感觉快乐的话，

It most likely is not worth it.

那这件事很可能不值得你去做。

Just about everything worth fighting for is going to require a real FIGHT to win a great prize.

几乎所有值得争取的东西都需要真正的战斗去赢得这个大奖。

You will have to suffer and sacrifice for almost anything worthwhile in life.

生命中几乎任何又价值的东西都需要你忍受煎熬和牺牲代价获得

But you should ask yourself this question about everything you do in your life:

对于生命中所做的每件事， 你都应该问自己这样一个问题：

Does this make me happy?

它能让我快乐吗？

If the answer is NO,

如果答案是“不能”

Ask yourself

那继续追问自己

Will this sacrifice I am making lead to more happiness in the long term

如果答案是“不能”，那继续追问自己：从长远来看，我所做的牺牲会让我在未来获得更多喜悦吗？

If not, you should let it go.

如果不能，那就放下这件事吧
